Introduction
Her Response Count Project is a one-year project funded by the Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), with support from UN Women.
Project Overview
The project addresses conflict-related and climate-related issues in Numan and Demsa LGAs of Adamawa State. It highlights women as front runners and promotes their inclusion in decision-making processes on climate-related issues.
Key activities include:
- Inception meeting
- Established and trained 20 women across the two LGAs (Numan and Demsa) as Women Climate Action Committee (WCAC) members
- Produced Women Climate Committee (WCC) series featuring WCACs and Sub-committees
- Promoted inclusive participation of marginalized groups in civic engagement and community dialogues.
- Enhanced visibility of women-led advocacy in local development processes across target LGAs.
- Expanded outreach through both onsite engagement and large-scale digital advocacy campaigns.
Number of Reach
- 400 women directly reached onsite through structured community engagements in Numan and Demsa LGAs.
- 1,000,000 people reached online through digital awareness and advocacy campaigns.
- Total reach: 400 direct participants.
